Singapore’s Toll rates are closely associated with those set with Malaysia. The current revision of Singapore’s Toll Rates at the causeway and Second happened due to the revision by the Malaysian side on 1st January 2008
No wonder my Touch n Go card, didn’t have sufficient balance when I tap it, on 2nd Jan at the second link. Haha, didn’t realize that the toll had gone up from RM8.40 to RM10.80. Usually after few trips to the 2nd link, would leave a balance of RM10 but was very complacent on that day. Nonetheless, always tried my best to apply for the SMART TAG which is equivalent to Singapore IU unit, but was always sold out.
