In India, a company by the name of India’s Tata Group unveiled the ultra-cheap “people’s car” which is called NANO.

The basic version comes with a factory price of 100,000 rupees (S$3,655) before taxes and transport charges.

Here are the specs of the No-frills Vehicle:

-         $3,655 price tag

-         Just 3.1m long

-         No Air-con or radio

-         624cc Engine

However after reading the Straits Time, it was found out that actually the people there in New Delhi, were unhappy and some of them decided not to buy it due to the fact that, Tata Group had forced farmers in the prime farmland out to make way for the factory.

I don’t think the car would be brought into Singapore as even the cheapest car in Singapore comes with an air-con and radio, imagine driving in a humid country like Singapore and worst still, stucked in a traffic jam during peak hours, Good luck to the driver. :-)
