I went on 2 days, 1 night trip to Port Dickson with 6 of my colleagues and their families. Well, of course being single, I end up going there with 3 of my closest frens. In Port Dickson, we stayed at a local resort called the Eagle Ranch Resort . The resort has many facilities, although didn’t enjoy much of it, but managed to only swim in the morning.

Had earlier plan of course to try the Kart Racing and Horse Riding, however it looked boring as the Kart racing only involves going in circles instead of a proper circuit. Very disappointed indeed. For More info, about the Ranch can be found HERE.

The whole trip was enjoyable as this was my first time convoy to Malaysia with my colleagues. It started on Saturday morning, 22nd December where everyone gathered at our first meeting point in Danger Bay, JB. However, due to the traffic jam at the first link, I decided to cross over via the 2nd link. Well, still got stuck in the jam but still Ok. In the end, the meeting point was changed to the Rest area beside Machap.

After meeting them at Machap, all of us proceeded without any problems. The whole journey was smooth as everyone followed with the speed limit and there was also an advance and rear party, each making sure that everyone was intact. Too bad, didn’t got a chance to take the convoy picks and most of my ferns in my car was sleeping and for me, couldn’t have the chance to take and at the same time driving.

Reached Port Dickson roughly after lunchtime and as expected, most of us were hungry and end up eating at Port Dickson beach side. Ok not too bad for the food except that the waiting time is very ridiculously slow. Finally managed to check in at the resort and here are the few pics that managed to be captured.

On that first night, went out in search of the famous local seafood eatery but it was disappointed as all were fully booked and the crowd was , u should noe, Saturday night crowd. The place couldn’t even cater for all of us and in the end, we end up eating at other not that popular place near the beach side. Not too bad though but again, it seems that the waiting time for the food is again slow. After that, went back to the resort to have a gd rest.

On the 2nd day, Sunday 23rd December, woke up early to enjoy the complimentary breakfast provided by the resort. Food was not bad either, as they serve local fare such as Nasi Lemak and Mee Goreng, Sausages, Hard Boiled Eggs, Corn flakes, breads and scrambled eggs available. After that, all of us proceeded to the swimming pool to take a morning dip. Was quite relaxing and enjoying myself in the pool.

Well, finally it was time for us to leave the place for our shopping trip in the city of Melaka, After checking out, we went to Mahkota Parade in the main city of Melaka. Well, price wise was ok, a bit cheaper but didn’t buy a lot of stuff since most of it can be found in Singapore itself. After having dinner, it was time for us to set back to Singapore but was shocked when one of my colleague’s car, an MY06 Toyota Estima broke down and couldn’t start as He had forgotten to switch off his Hazard lights when parking.

Jump Start the Car

We end up looking for a jump start cables and surprisingly, none of us have that, not even the local people and well, in the end, He had to buy it from the nearby Mahkota Parade, and managed to start the car after the jump start.

Although it was a short 2 days break from Singapore, I did managed to enjoy myself as it was fun driving in a convoy with my colleagues. We managed to find out where were the weakness in us and, best of all, learned from one another in terms of driving skills and communication.
