From Monday,19th Nov 07,taxi drivers caught touting,overcharging, or refusing to pick up passengers will face stiffer penalties such as higher fines,demerit points and immediate suspensions by LTA.
Finally LTA has made the right move.I totally support the above so that those really honest cabbies will have a fair share of the pie of earning money.Other than that,it will enable us to preserve our image as a popular Tourist Destination.So Beware Errant Cabbies of the above ruling.More discussions can be found on taxi forum
