Recently, there are few cases of Taxi touting happening around in Singapore. Its been publicized quite frequently in our normal media. Its quite disappointed to know that this kind of things happen in our country, which is considered having one of the best First Class transport system in the world. Anyway to look at it again, maybe those taxi drivers have difficulties earning $$ the proper way, and thus resort to such acts, which could tarnish our country’s Reputation to the tourist.

I myself, have quite a number of experiences, meeting those errant taxi drivers who would tout and then try to negotiate a price and tampering their “meters”. Those were the days when I haven’t got my car. Coming back home early in the morning from those favourite hot spots ended up with frustration as prices were being set.

Thank god, that the Authorities are doing something to clamp down those errant taxi drivers who tout around, Thumbs UP for them but I believe this will be temporary as they will lie low until the coast is clear for them to start again. So as for now,just be careful and watch out for more errant taxi drivers and their touting activites.
